The 2011 Original Mountain Marathon took place in the mountains around Comrie in Perthshire, Scotland on the 29th and 30th of October, 2011. The event sees up to 3000 competitors spend two days in the mountains being self-sufficient carrying all that they need with them. Elite competitors in this event will typically cover the equivalent of a marathon per day and are considered to be world-class athletes.
